Now in stores!

I had some supply shopping to do at my local craft store and was excited to see the new Best of Sew Simple book in stores! This is a great collection of projects (a few of my projects found their way in there too!) that are not only fun and trendy but can be accomplished by beginning to advanced sewers. The technique section in the back is very informative and if used with the Videos section on the website you can't go wrong!

How to What?!

Ever wonder what basting means? How about the real way to complete a blind hem?

I remember trying to sew through a pattern that was a little above my skill level and not having a close reference to learn, or remember, these little techniques. Check out the Sewepedia. This will obviously grow but is a great place to find these little terms in one place. A bonus? They have little videos attached! This too will grow...we've added 3 more videos since the launch last week. So if you are a more visual person and need to know what Topstitching is..just click on it!

I'd love to get some terms or techniques up there that you all run into or struggle with. Let me know and we'll get them up as soon as we can!
