I had a few moments of downtime this evening and have uploaded (re-uploaded rather) the latest project from Iris Embroidery Threads pictured in the current issue of Creative Machine Embroidery! Hope you all enjoy the Easy Embroidered Pillow and how-to tutorial video.
New How-tos!

The past two weeks have been full of some very fun projects going out just as quickly as they are coming in! I had the chance to do some very fun scarf projects, a snuggly wool throw with a top made completely out of yarn and an exciting embellished shirt and duvet/sham set for a new hand embroidery publication. I can't wait to get the duvet/sham project back from the publication and stick it on my bed! I also did a cute Pin-Up Apron made from half a placemat and two napkins! I'll pass along more details on these as I can!
If you have some time, surf the how-to video section! Jeff made some super cool updates on how you view the videos and there are over 10 new videos to help you learn some awesome techniques!
Keeping Promises

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! There's another free project download on the site. The Pet Bandana project is a super "don't have much time" project and can make your best friend the most stylish pooch (or kitty) on the block! Make them for each of the holidays or give as gifts. Enjoy!

I can't tell you how excited I am to post this! After being up a little over a week you guys are so anxious to get your hands on these projects I crammed some time to get these together for you. If you visit the Iris Free Project Downloads you'll see the "Go Green Grocery Tote" and the "T-shirt Tote" project files. The Go Green Grocery Tote has gotten some press time. It started as a project download for a retailer based magazine I write for called American Quilt Retailer. Then I wrote a post for CraftStylish about an event I did at Fabric Obsession and they wanted to link to the project too! It is a fantastic technique and a great way to use scraps. The T-shirt Tote is up early. I am getting so many emails from people wanting to download the project I am much too excited to keep it to myself until August! This bag has so much opportunity. Any t-shirt. Any size. Any style. You're the designer! Enjoy and send me your results...I want to start a gallery soon!!! Thank you so much for your support! -Shannon |
